Food InsecurityFood insecurity affects more families than we think. About 25% of students in LAUSD are faced with food insecurity. When we chose to create a food pantry at our school it was because we know that families are struggling right now, and often times kids don't say anything. We thought that by having food drives and giving out Food Supply Kits maybe kids would be more likely to take the food.

Food KitsWe gave out "Food Kits" in November and in April right before school let out for Thanksgiving and Spring Break. Every student who needed/wanted one was able to receive one.
